Band Profile: Strange Tales

Band Profile: Strange Tales

A bass and synth-driven duo producing melodic musical curiosities from the darker side of the street. Their songs relate baroque cautionary tales from the murkier corners of the human psyche, involving robots, witches and the occasional railway-based haunting. Strange Tales are fronted by Sally Moriarty on vocals/synth/drum programming and underpinned by the distinctive basslines of Paul Sloots, veteran of the Crawley music scene that spawned goth idols the Cure. A live review in Artrocker magazine stated: “This band’s odd stories fuck with my mind…”Strange Tales have been gigging in and around London for a couple of years, with dynamic and atmospheric shows belying their minimal line-up, and they are now looking to spread their wings further afield. They are currently recording their debut album which will hopefully be ready early in 2015.
